Top 5 of Makeup Gurus on Youtube

Based on my own opinion of course!

1 - Undeniably, Michelle Phan. She was the first Youtube I ever subscribed to. She disappeared for a whole year and recently got back with her relaunch of Em Cosmetics. I still feel that a lot of makeup gurus these days are simply doing and update or remaking the content that she once did.

2 - Tati Westbrook just has the right word to describe a colour or a texture. She doesn't repeat " I'm just so obsessed with it " all video long (like A LOT of Youtubers do). I've never hit a bad product that was recommended by her. Very consistent on her uploads.

3 - Kathleen Lights. I have to say she's funny. Watching her is more entertaining than practical.

4- I also watch Hello Catie that is a Taiwanese Youtube that referrers a lot to Kathleen Lights' suggestions. On the practical side, I would say that Hello Catie does a better job. She recently gave birth so she is probably going to upload less often, but the way she talks to the camera is very natural, with makes it very comfortable to watch.

5 - Hollie Forrest gives me the impression of a very nice person. Her videos just leave a very friendly impression.

Those who didn't make the list:

- Hey Claire: She used to be very active, but she now has more vlogs than any other kind of videos. Which is still nice because her editing makes her videos very artsy (and emotional too).

- Jenn Im: I still like to watch her videos, but I do miss her "thrifting roots" a lot. I feel like most of her content now a days are collaborations, with gives too much of a commercial feel.

- LaurDIY and Wengie: I was a subscriber before their channel turned into a bunch of random challenges and collaboration with other teenager targeted Youtubers.
